Chatbot Settings
Chatbot Name
This is the name you see throughout the dashboard to identify this chatbot. You can change it anytime, and it won't affect how your chatbot appears to visitors on your website.
- Must be between 1 and 40 characters
- This is just for your internal reference
- Changing it doesn't impact any deployed chatbots
Chatbot ID
Your chatbot has a unique ID that's used in code and integrations to identify it. This is automatically generated and can't be changed.
When you'll use this:
- Embedding the chatbot on your website (the embed code uses this ID)
- API integrations
- Connecting with other services
You can copy the Chatbot ID using the copy button if you need to share it or use it in code.
Danger Zone
Deleting Your Chatbot
If you need to remove a chatbot permanently, you can do so from the Danger Zone section. Be careful - this action cannot be undone.
When you delete a chatbot, it will permanently remove:
- All conversations and chat history
- All settings and configurations
- Any actions or integrations
- All associated data
The chatbot will also stop working on your website immediately after deletion.
To delete:
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section
- Click "Delete Chatbot"
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears
- You'll be redirected to your chatbots list after successful deletion
Deleting a chatbot is permanent. Make sure you really want to remove it and have backed up any important data before proceeding.
